Carol M. Jolly, MSW, LSCSW has been in
private practice for 17 years following 15 years at the Menninger
Clinic. Prior to her work at Menninger, she was both a psychiatric
and medical social worker at the Topeka VA Hospital, Department
of Psychiatry, Medicine and Neurology and at the University of Florida
Teaching Hospital, Departments of Pediatrics and Orthopedics.
Ms. Jolly received both her BS and MSW at the Florida State University
and during her years at Menninger, received advanced training in
family therapy, individual and group therapies.
She and colleagues established the Eating Disorders Unit and the
Center for Sexual Health where she became a certified sex therapist,
sex therapy supervisor and teacher in the Post Graduate Training
program in Sex Therapy. She was also a teacher and supervisor in
the Menninger Psychiatric Residency Training Program.
She was frequently a presenter at continuing education workshops
at Menninger on subjects ranging for grief to sexual dysfunctions
and sexual abuse. Ms. Jolly was for some years, a teacher and social
work supervisor at Washburn University, Graduate and Undergraduate
Social Work Programs.
She has been a presenter at national conferences including National
Association of Social Workers. American Association of Sex Educators,
Counselors and Therapists, The Governors Conference on Aging as
well as guest speaker at in and out of state universities, medical
centers and business organizations. She is a past graduate of Leadership
Topeka in conjunction with her long involvement in community volunteer
work.

Ms. Jolly continues to practice as an individual, marital, family
and sex therapist.
Special populations she serves are aging clients with complex medical
problems, the gay and lesbian community and transgendered clients;
individuals with complex psychiatric illnesses, adolescent and adult
survivors of sexual abuse and those struggling with work related
stress and persistent struggles with self esteem and self confidence.
She is identified as being knowledgeable and sensitive to the spirituality
and religious beliefs of her clients. The age range for clients
is from 12 to 85+. Occasionally, she sees children younger than
12 pending the treatment issues. She does both brief and extended
therapies with varied treatment modalities appropriate to the problems
presented.
Therapy hours are Tuesday through Friday from 8:00AM-6:00PM (occasionally
to 7:00PM)
and Saturdays from 8:00AM through 1:00PM. Appointments are either
made directly with
Ms. Jolly or through the office manager at Shadow Wood Clinical
Associates.
