Kathleen Worland Waddell is a Licensed Specialist
Clinical Social Worker having completed a Bachelor degree in Social
Work at Washburn University and earned her Masters degree in Social
Work from the University of Kansas in 1985.
Kathy continued her education at the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry
and Mental Health Sciences in their post-graduate training program
in Sex Therapy from 1987-1989.
After her graduation from Kansas University, Kathy was employed
by Catholic Social Services for nine years working herself up to
the position Clinical Director. Her experience also includes both
employment and voluntary work with the Marian Clinic, Battered Women’s
Task Force, Memorial Hospital, Menningers Adolescent Treatment Unit,
Stormont-Vail Psychiatric Unit and the Senior Diagnostic unit.
She was appointed to the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory
Board in 1993 and served until 1998. She continued at BSRB on the
Social Work Advisory committee until 2000.

She began her private practice in psychotherapy with Shadow Wood
Clinical Associates in 1993 and her practice includes experience
with persons of all ages, from pre-adolescents to senior citizens.
Of special interest to Kathy are relationship challenges, grief
and loss, stress related disorders, abuse and trauma issues as well
as concerns of those persons in their retirement years.
Kathy is available for appointments week days and limited evening
