Carol M. Jolly, MSW, LSCSW has been in private practice for 30 years and has held a Kansas license to practice since licensure was instituted. She received her AA degree from now Miami-Dade University; her BS and MSW from Florida State University and worked as a medical social worker at the University of Florida Teaching Hospital and the Topeka Veteran’s Administration Hospital as both medical and psychiatric social worker before accepting a position at the Menninger Clinic working in the Adult Hospital, Adult Diagnostic Service, Adult Outpatient Service an as Assistant Director of Admissions. She served as faculty for a number of nationally attended Menninger continuing education programs. She, along with others established the Center For Sexual Health and the design of a two-year post-graduate program for those seeking certification as sex therapist. Ms. Jolly was also a clinical supervisor in the Menninger Psychiatric Residency Program. As well, she was a teacher at Washburn University School of Social Work and field supervisor at Washburn University and the University of Kansas.

Ms. Jolly serves those aged 16 and over in her clinical practice and in more recent years with aging clients and their families. For some years she has been recognized as serving the emotional needs of those in the LGBTQ community. Her education and training along with career experience has its focus on problems associated with complex psychiatric illnesses, depression, anxiety, sexual dysfunctions, sexual trauma, grief, work related stress, and self-esteem and self-confidence issues which hamper daily life challenges. Treatment modalities include counseling, brief therapies when indicated, individual psychotherapy for persistent emotional struggles, marital and family therapy and group therapy. In addition, Ms. Jolly also offers clinical supervision for those seeking their LSCSW license.

Community service has also been a part of Ms. Jolly’s career and she has served on a number of boards of social service agencies. In 2020 she was selected to serve on the Governor’s Task Force on Alzheimer’s and other related cognitive disorders as an outgrowth of her long work with aging clients and their families.

Practice hours vary according to the needs of clients and her availability. This also includes tele-med as an option for those with difficult work hours, health issues and complications with transportation, particularly for those at a geographic distance from Topeka.
